In-Home Companionship Services

At Promedcare, we provide companion care services in Fremont, Columbus, Norfolk, and Blair, NE personalized for our clients, from a few hours a day to around-the-clock continuous care. Whether it’s simply having a conversation or sitting down to eat a meal together, our in-home companionship services are designed to help clients retain their independence and keep them happy, healthy, and safe at home.
Conversation and Companionship
At Promedcare, our team members are available to provide clients company and engage in conversation, or to sit down to share a meal. Social contact such as this is proven to enhance the health, happiness, and quality of life for clients of all ages.
Meal Preparation
We can prepare hot, delicious, and nutritious meals, allowing clients to help with preparation according to their ability. Many clients do not have the opportunity to eat a well-balanced meal, so our in-home care services help them get the nutrition they need to enjoy healthier living.
Laundry
These services can be performed in either the client’s home or a laundromat and include washing, drying, ironing and putting things away. We involve clients to make sure laundry is done according to their preferences.
Grocery Shopping/Errands
Our companion caregivers can assist by shopping for groceries at stores of their clients’ preference and running errands, such as picking up prescriptions or going to the post office. Clients may choose to stay home or help with the shopping and other errands as an excellent way to stay active and engaged. Our caregivers will use any coupons provided.
Light Housekeeping
We are able to provide light housekeeping services include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms (sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets), cleaning kitchens (sinks, appliances, counters, taking out trash), straightening all rooms, organizing closets and drawers, and cleaning any interior windows that can be reached without a ladder.
We do not provide outdoor home maintenance or cleaning.
Incidental Transportation
Our companion care team provides transportation incidental to other care services, such as taking clients to doctor’s appointments, barbershops, beauty salons, shopping, or wherever else a client wants to go.
Medication Reminders
Although our personnel cannot administer medications, we can help ensure that clients take their own medication as prescribed. We can assist with opening medication containers, reading labels, and reminders when it is time to take a dose.
Grooming Guidance
At Promedcare, our caregivers assist clients with washing and combing their hair and other grooming tasks to enable them to feel good about their appearance.
Ironing and Mending
Many of our care providers have the ability to assist by ironing or mending clothes when the need arises.
